The Originals Season 2 Episode 14

Hayley is happy she has Hope back, but how long will this bliss last?

Hayley is happy she has her daughter back, but how long will this bliss last before Dahlia comes for Hope?

The wolves have no idea what they have gotten themselves into. They wanted to sever Finn’s control of them and protect themselves with Hayley’s hybrid power, but other than Jackson, no one knew what they were signing up for.

No one really knows what they are up against. Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah haven’t seen Dahlia since they were kids. Can the wolves even protect Hope?

We already had an inkling that Dahlia is more powerful than Ester, but Freya just confirmed it. And Hope coming into her power is not a good thing. That’s exactly what’s going to draw Dahlia to her. Did Cami even tell Elijah or Klaus what Hope did? Not that they know her power would make her unsafe.

Freya is pretty powerful herself. She just brought Finn back to life. Klaus may have more numbers, between Elijah, Rebekah, Hayley and the wolves, but Finn and Freya are very powerful witches.

Klaus is under the impression that this is his wolf army. What exactly is he planning? From the beginning of the episode he seemed to threaten Jackson, with a backhanded compliment. Plus Klaus brought him the heads of the leaders that wouldn’t relinquish the moon light rings. None of this was for Jackson, it was all for himself.

But what is his endgame? Hayley is a strong woman and won’t let Klaus manipulate her to lead the wolves, but he certainly believes he has control over the wolves.

She may not be in love with Jackson, but she chose him of Elijah.

She may not be in love with Jackson, but she chose him.

If he kills Jackson, does that break the bond? Elijah is right, if he kills Jackson the wolves will ascend into chaos, not exactly a good recipe for protecting Hope. Plus Aiden and Josh just went public with their relationship, they don’t need a renewed feud between the wolves and vampires.

What does this new powerful pack mean for the vampires? Jackson has no current issues with the vampires and Marcel doesn’t have anything against the wolves. But after a centuries old feud, can they live in peace?

Tragedy was previewed, and Kol was the most likely victim, but it still came as a shock.

Tragedy was previewed, and Kol was the most likely victim, but it still came as a shock.

I knew there was tragedy coming this episode, but I didn’t want it to be Kol. I really like Kol and I really like Daniel Sharman’s portrayal of him. I hope Rebekah is right and she can bring him back.

It was nice to see Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah around Kol. He didn’t have to die alone. Plus he died while he was looking into Davina’s eyes. It was a beautiful and heartbreaking moment. Kol has never been more loved in either of his lives and that’s all he ever wanted.

Speaking of love, Marcel must really love Rebekah. He seemed to know Rebekah even while she was in a witch’s body. That’s a pretty big connection to notice someone when they are in someone else’s body.

Turns out there may be love blossoming for Hayley. She may be in love with Elijah, but she chose Jackson. Elijah could never tell her how he felt until it was too late. Jackson was able to to confess his feelings. There was a bond there between them from the beginning. She told him that from the moment she saw him in his wolf form, she knew she could trust him.

‘The Originals’ will return March 9 and Klaus is ready to use his army, or kill them. Take a look at the promo:

The Originals Season 2 Episode 13

We knew Hope was going to be special, but I don't think anyone could have predicted this.

We knew Hope was going to be special, but I don’t think anyone could have predicted this.

When Wyatt in ‘Charmed’ was born from a Charmed one and a whitelighter, he was very powerful, even from the womb. Now we may have a new powerful baby. We haven’t seen too much of Hope yet, but she may have given us a sample of just how powerful she really is. Unless someone else was around, Hope turned off the car to stop Cami and her from walking into danger. All while Elijah was taking care of Finn.

This was an extremely exciting and intense episode. As the episode drew to a close, I wasn’t sure if Hope would be saved. Of course everyone pulled through.

Hayley was ready to rush to Hope’s rescue, even though she would have never have gotten there in time. But Marcel reminded her that Elijah would have never let anything happen to Hope. She’s been putting complete trust in Jackson and had forgotten for a moment how much she trusted Elijah. He came through in a big heroic way.

Elijah is more powerful than we've ever seen when he's protecting Hope.

Elijah was more powerful than we’ve ever seen him, when he was protecting Hope.

First battle in protecting Hope is won, but they are far from done yet. Freya wants Hope dead too.

Freya was reunited with one of her brothers, Finn, her favorite. But lets be honest, she was taken before she could get to know the others.

We assumed Freya was dead, but instead Dahlia has been putting Freya into a deep sleep for a century and then letting her live one year before going back into a deep sleep again. She escaped her aunt and has been running ever since. The Mikaelsons sure have had a crappy life, running all the time.

Freya is quite happy to let Hope die, so the rest of them can live.

“I’ve come to understand a hard lesson in our time apart, You have to let somethings die, so others may live,” Freya side.

It looks like Freya will not be siding with her siblings, especially when she finds out Elijah killed her favorite brother.

Kol is one powerful and smart witch.

Kol is one powerful and smart witch.

The secret is out and everyone knows. Marcel is a good ally to have to protect Hope. And I’m sure he’d be more than willing to help protect her. He already did, though getting different blood was pointless. Finn was just too smart. It was all a plan to buy himself enough time to get to Hope.

At least Finn isn’t the only smart witch in the family. Kol came through big as well, with the help of Klaus. Channeling Klaus was a brilliant idea. Hopefully now that Klaus has put a lot of trust into Kol and Kol proved he could come through, someone will come up with a way to save Kol.

We just started getting to know Kol. We didn’t know him too well in ‘The Vampire Diaries’, but now he’s a big part of ‘The Originals’ and I would be very upset to see him go.

After all of the events of this episode, Hayley is in a big rush to get married. While letting Elijah protect Hope, Hayley focused on building a bigger pack of wolves, only vampires interrupted the ceremony. Not that it was the vampires’ fault, they were under a spell. But as Hayley said, it’s just going to get worse.

I think a wolf army to protect Hope is great and I think it was sweet of Jackson to build a crib for Hope, but I still want Hayley with Elijah.

Next week Hayley’s wedding day has come and Klaus is plotting to get rid of Jackson after the ceremony, so Elijah can have Hayley. Take a look at the preview:

The Originals Season 2 Episode 12

Marcel looks worried as Finn figures out Klaus' secret.

Marcel looks worried as Finn figures out Klaus’ secret.

So if Freya never died, what is this Mikaelson curse all about?

Freya is one powerful witch. I’m sure her aunt Dahlia had something to do with that. Or maybe the Mikaelsons would have all become powerful witches, if they never got turned into vampires. Kol is certainly better suited as a witch than he ever was a vampire. Finn on the other hand, is just a psycho.

Should Klaus be more afraid of Finn or Freya? We have no idea what Freya has planned for her brothers, I guess that will depend on how they act towards her. Rebekah made a really good impression and got in her good graces, but something tells me Klaus and Finn won’t do the same. Elijah and Kol might make a better impression though.

Finn knows about Hope and he didn’t even have to torture it out of Marcel. Kol is right, he really is a little like Sherlock Holmes. He went through all the trouble of trying to get it out of Marcel, then he just deduced it from how well he knows his brothers. But taking Marcel and his vampires captive wasn’t all for nothing, they will help Finn find Hope. Though I’m sure Marcel will have something up his sleeve to protect Hope. He’s always been protective of children after all.

So far it seems like Hayley and Jackson’s wedding is full steam ahead. Jackson fought Klaus pretty heroically, even though there really wasn’t any way he could defeat Klaus. He would have died right there for Hayley. He seems like such a good choice for Hayley, but I’m still rooting for Elijah.

Jackson said he had his own secrets and he confessed his biggest one to Hayley, his grandfather killed her parents. That couldn’t have been easy for Jackson to admit. Hayley took it pretty well. I think after not knowing for so long, even when it was bad, it was still better than not knowing. But we will have to see how this affects their relationship  from here. So far it hasn’t made a dent.

Kol tried his best to help Davina, but Finn saw right through him.

Kol tried his best to help Davina, but Finn saw right through his duplicity.

Hayley went up against Klaus to save Jackson. I would have liked to have seen a little more of a fight with Hayley and Klaus. I mean it was hybrid against hybrid and because they share a child together, Klaus was not going to kill her. It would have been interesting.

I’m not sure how Elijah took the news about Hayley fighting for her impending husband. It’s hard to tell what Elijah is ever thinking.

How will Jackson take the news that Hayley’s daughter is still alive? Maybe a little awkward that Hope is also Klaus’ daughter, but I’m sure he will protect her all the same. It’s a really nice think that Hope could actually come home, but they will have to deal with Finn and Freya before that day comes.

Kol is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters on the show. You never truly know what side he’s on or what he’s going to do. I really want his feelings for Davina to be real and they might actually be genuine. They both have a common goal of putting down Klaus and Kol chose to get rid of Klaus, while still protecting Davina’s friends.

I don’t usually like different actors playing the same characters, but Daniel Sharman has really embraced the role of Kol and I love him as Kol. I have no problems with him being cursed to stay in that body. I do have a problem with him dying though. Lets hope he can find a solution before it’s too late.

Next week Finn is trying to find Hope and Klaus has to find Finn before that happens. Take a look at the promo:

The Originals Season 2 Episode 11

A great flashback for Marcel to WWI.

A great flashback for Marcel to WWI.

I’ve been a fan of Marcel for a while now and this was a great episode for his character. We learned a lot about him and just how strong he really is and just why he was able to keep things in New Orleans going so smooth for so long. He’s a great leader.

Marcel was able to hold his vampires together, even through hallucinating from werewolf venom. That is pretty impressive. We’ve seen the affects of a werewolf bite plenty of times before, and it’s never pretty.

But where did Finn take Marcel and his vampires? I think Klaus should be a little bit more worried about Finn ripping the secret from Marcel than Hayley telling Jackson. I believe Jackson would keep their secret. Marcel on the other hand doesn’t really have a choice. We saw Davina erase all the compulsion from Cami and Finn is a lot more powerful. I actually think it wouldn’t hurt to have a few more people protecting the baby. Finn will be a tough one to beat.

From time to time Elijah has done some bad things. He’s threatened Elena’s life and then apologized for it. He was always the one in the originals family that you could trust. Now the bad deeds of his past are haunting him, but doesn’t that still mean he’s noble Elijah. He’s done some horrible things, but he feels remorse for them. Unlike Klaus, who feels remorse for very little.

It was a smart move on Elijah’s part though. Between him and Klaus they broke Finn’s spell. He may have had to confess to some hard truths, but in the end he freed them.

What will Jackson do when he learns the truth? What secrets is Jackson hiding? As Hayley said though, some secrets are not her own. The one she so desperately wants to hide is a shared secret. But what will Klaus do now that he knows that Hayley will tell Jackson?

Next Monday Klaus is on a mission to protect his secret and Finn is determined to find out what that secret is. Check out the preview:

The Originals Season 2 Episode 10

Finn is harnessing the power of two evil objects as he seeks revenge.

Finn is harnessing the power of two evil objects as he seeks revenge.

There was a lot less action in this episode than the preview portrayed. It was more of the aftermath from a very decisive mid-season finale.

Finn was outraged that his siblings had betrayed him and taken his mother. He would stop at nothing to get her back.

When Finn finally found his mother, she had decided to transition into a vampire. She had become one of the creatures she despised so much. She wasn’t strong enough to die with her principles in tact like Caroline’s dad did and Alaric would have done if it wasn’t for Ester. In some ways it’s a surprise that she isn’t as strong as she thought she was. In a moment of weakness she chose to go into the darkness, but this just enraged Finn more.

It seems that Finn didn’t just adore is mother, he respected her too and now he’s equally mad at his parents as he is with his siblings.

I’m guessing that drawing power from an original vampire and Ester will make him pretty unstoppable.

When Finn made the vampires in the compound extremely hungry you were probably expecting it to get pretty ugly, and it came close a few times. But Kol and Davina were able to get the wolves out before it came to that, but the spell is still intact and the vampires and Kol are still trapped. So things could still get really out of hand. I like Kol, so I hope he pulls through, even if he did trap Rebekah.

Rebekah is having difficulties of her own. She’s trapped in a witch’s body, who is trapped in a witch asylum. She tried really hard to get her message out. Freya did hear her message though. And she just might be Rebekah long lost sister. But if Freya died a thousand years ago, what is her spirit doing in that house?

On the mid-season finale Hayley and Elijah fans were finally able to see them together, if only for a brief moment. Now she’s engaged to Jackson. But can she really devote herself to Jackson when she loves Elijah? The rituals haven’t been done yet so there’s still time for her to back out.

Elijah is not taking standing on the sidelines easily. He wants to fight, but he’s in no condition to fight. A few times it seemed like he would strike at Cami. It seems he’s finally realized he’s not doing well. I hope he opens up to Cami. It would be nice to dive deeper into Elijah. If Ester did block his mind from remembering the horrible things he’s done, what has he done? He’s the one Mikaelson you feel you can trust without a doubt, but what is he hiding from himself?

Next week Marcel tries to keep thing in check while they are trapped. Take a look at the preview:

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Mid-season Finale

Caroline looses all hope.

Caroline loses all hope.

Caroline always has hope, she’s the most optimistic of them all. There isn’t a problem you can’t solve and in spite of everything she powers through and makes memories along the way. This time there is no hope. There’s nothing she can do to make this better. And it’s so heartbreaking. The eternal optimist has lost all hope.

This was an interesting mid-season finale. In the midst of Joe trying to figure out how to defeat Kai and Kai getting all of the travelers magic, there was actually some good news. They get to go back home to Mystic Falls. Not only that, Damon got his car back. Then Elena was going to come over and have dinner with Damon. All was looking really good. But while the end of the episode was looking good, I was waiting for Kai to appear. And he did in the last few seconds of the episode and he took Elena.

Why Elena? Because Damon’s the one trying to stop him? Damon has no sway over Joe and Alaric, so if Kai’s endgame has something to do with Joe, this won’t help. But if it’s just to get back at Damon, well then good play on Kai.

Elena will have to be rescued, but Stefan is going to be a bit busy dealing with Matt and Enzo. I don’t exactly feel sorry for Matt at all. Jeremy tried to tell him that going up against vampires wasn’t a good idea. Granted there was no way of knowing that the no magic curse would be lifted from Mystic Falls when Matt drove Enzo across the boarder. It was still a no win situation either way. But how exactly does Enzo plan on sucking all the happiness from Stefan’s life? He can’t take away Stefan’s brother, that’s his best friend. I don’t expect him to strike at Caroline, because he has a little thing for her. So what does that leave? I’m very curious to find out what his plan will be.

There was some cheerfulness in this episode with the Christmas flashbacks, but it didn’t last long with Bonnie putting up her own tree and burning it. Elena and Damon are trying so hard to bring her back, but are coming up empty. I hope Bonnie knows that they haven’t given up hope yet.

When ‘The Vampire Diaries’ returns next year, Elena will need to be saved and Joe will have to figure out how to beat a new, more powerful Kai. Things are not looking too good. And it looks like we will be saying goodbye to Sheriff Forbes soon. But there is still hope for Caroline and Stefan and Elena and Damon, so maybe there are some good things coming too.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ returns January 22 and Damon is trying to find away to get Elena back. Check out the preview:

The Originals Season 2 Episode 9

Rebekah's body is waiting for her to return.

Rebekah’s body is waiting for her to return.

Ester turned her children into vampires and then hated what they had become, and now she’s a vampire too. That seems like poetic justice to me. For once they were one step ahead.

But Michael is still on the loose and still wants all of them dead.

Plus what about Dahlia? Will she return from the dead to kill Hope?

I think this is the most I’ve seen the Mikaelson been a family. It was a sweet photograph of Rebekah, Elijah, Hayley, Klaus and Hope. It will probably be the only one they’ll ever have. Ester may be out of commission, but Dahlia could still come back for Hope. Not only did they have the sweet picture, they shared a family tradition, a bonfire and burning wishes, well they tried too.

It breaks my heart that Hayley is going to have to marry Jackson and I was about ready to want to smack Elijah because he’s too nobel, but then finally Elijah embraced Hayley and we all know what happened next. It was about time, even if it can only be a one time thing.

In the new year there will be more Kol and Davina and I’m very happy for that. He finally kissed her and this may be starting to be one of my favorite couples on the show, below Hayley and Elijah of course. I’m actually okay with his plan too. It doesn’t actually kill Klaus, so no one else has to die. But for how long Klaus had Kol daggered, I think it’s time for some payback.

I am mad at Kol for trapping Rebekah though. But we already knew that Claire Holt wouldn’t be sticking around for long. Rebekah is finally in a human body, but she’s a prisoner. The irony is that it’s a prison that Klaus created. At least she didn’t take Cami’s body.

So what’s next for ‘The Originals’? Michael is still out there and he’s rescued Finn. Finn has always hated his siblings. I can’t imagine he would just disappear. And Michael won’t stop till he’s dead again or all of his children are, especially Klaus.

When ‘The Originals’ returns the family feud seems to just be getting started. And Finn is creating ripples thorough the werewolf and vampire communities, which puts Hayley right in the middle. ‘The Originals’ returns January 19. Check out the preview:

The Vampire Dairies Season 6 Episode 9

They came so close to saving Bonnie.

They came so close to saving Bonnie.

I had hope that Elena and Damon were actually going to bring Bonnie back. They were right there waiting for her, but Kai had to go and screw everything up.

They may not have been able to save Bonnie, but Elena is starting to see the good in Damon again. And that gives me hope that these two will find each other again.

After everything Damon has done to Alaric, I don’t think compelling him to save Bonnie is on top of the list. I mean he has killed him a few times. Kai got out on his own, so stealing the ascendant had nothing to with Kai getting out.

What does is actually mean that Kai is out now? He doesn’t seem to be doing what we expected, or he’s being manipulative. So he wants to save Liv, does that mean he wants to kill Luke. That’s not good either. Does anyone else have a bad feeling that Tyler will try to kill Kai? I want Kai dead, but not for Tyler to do it. But what protection does Liv have in Mystic Falls, especially when Matt and Jeremy are on a mission to kill Enzo.

I don’t think Matt and Jeremy should go up against Enzo alone. One or both of them could end up dead. Jeremy has died a few times now and Matt has only died once. Lets keep it that way. On the other hand I don’t want Enzo to die either. He may be a jerk, but he’s fun having around and he’s one of Damon’s few friends. Well when they get Bonnie back he’ll have another one.

Why did Enzo make Matt turn against Stefan? Yes Stefan has killed, but unless he was the ripper, he had a good reason to. It doesn’t surprise me that he’s been looking out for the real Sarah all of this time. But by keeping her secret, he’s turned Matt against vampires. Two of their close friends are vampires, what does that mean for them? Will their hatred turn towards them too?

Next week it’s Christmas time on ‘The Vampire Diaries’, but things won’t be all merry. A lot of people are in danger. Check out the preview:

The Originals Season 2 Episode 8

Rebekah is back!

Rebekah is back!

How will they protect Hope from Ester? I think it might be time to let some people in on the secret. The more people they have protecting Hope the better chances they have. Marcel will certainly protect Hope and I believe Kol will too. The writers can’t let Hope die, so I’m guessing that means Dahlia will be making an appearance. We’ll have a new enemy soon.

Will Rebekah still want to take her mother’s deal when she find out her first born child will die? She has to stay a vampire to protect Hope. Would she even take Cami’s body?

Hayley can’t marry Jackson, she’s supposed to be with Elijah. It’s not fair that he’s still suffering from what his mother did. Elijah should have a chance to fight to Hayley. Elijah hardly ever kills people, threatens yes, but not kill. His mother has actually turned him into a killer. Finn must be really manipulated by her to be so loyal.

Where is Michael through all of this? Is he waiting to attack?  He just disappeared. I would have thought he’d be coming back to kill Klaus.

‘The Originals’ will be back December 8 with the midseason finale. Hayley will be reunited with her baby, Ester and Michael reunite and Michael is determined to kill Klaus. Check out the preview:

The Vampire Dairies Season 6 Episode 8

Is there hope for Elena and Damon?

Is there hope for Elena and Damon?

I’ve been waiting for a true enemy this season and Kai is it. I’m assuming he will get out and will try to take over the coven.

If Kai took Jo’s magic in the prism, is there any left in the real world? Isn’t there anyway to get Bonnie out without getting Kai out? Damon made it out? How will they get her out? At first I was sure she would get out, seeing as everyone is on the case now, but Kai left her very far away from Mystic Falls. I’m assuming she can’t get back from there.

When Elena had some of her compulsion washed away, some of her feelings came back, even if it was just a tiny bit. Could these two still find their way back together?

I’m not sure if Caroline and Stefan will find their way now. He apologized, which is a start, but there’s no chemistry between these two like there use to be. Now it’s all so awkward.

I’m still getting use to Tyler being human again. He’s just so different. At first he was a little like his old self, but now he’s a whole new him. And he’s bringing out the good in Liv. She always seemed so bitchy, and she is, but now there’s a reason for it.

When Liv and Luke first came to Mystic Falls, I wasn’t so sure about these two. I wasn’t really a fan of the whole traveller storyline, but these two have become much more interesting now. Was this all the plan from the start? How long can Liv hide out in Mystic Falls before her coven comes for her?

How will Jeremy react to the news of Bonnie being alive? There’s hope to get her out, but it’s not a done deal yet. There’s still the risk of Kai releasing hell on earth and figuring out how to get her out and leave him behind.

So why did Grams trap Bonnie in this world? Yes she can get out, her blood is the key. But why would Grams risk unleashing Kai?

I hope your Thanksgiving is better than the one Caroline hosted. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ will take a break for Thanksgiving and will be back December 4 with Damon trying to rescue Bonnie. Check out the preview:
