Revenge Season 2 Episode 14

images-11Just re-watched the preview for this episode, because something just didn’t seem right. You know the scene where Victoria announces they will be framing Amanda for the murder of Helen Crawley? In the preview Victoria says Emily has unleashed unholy hell on the family. I hate when previews make you think something else is going to happen. Usually it’s just with the way they put the images, but to change the dialogue for the preview, that’s just not right.

Framing Amanda is now mute, since she’s dead. I really though Jack was going to die. The preview kind of pointed to that, but as I just mentioned, the preview was very misleading.

I was really hoping that Helen was on top of the food chain for the initiative. She was scary enough, this new guy is even scarier. I feel bad for Padma, she’s trying to help and with Helen out of the picture now, things just got worse.

Revenge is usually really intense, and this episode looked like it would be really intense. And in some ways it was, with Emily and Nolan going to rescue Jack and Amanda, and Nolan rushing Jack to the hospital. But what’s the use of framing Amanda now that she’s dead. I love the twists and turns and suspense that the writers put us through, but from a story point of view there was no reason to frame Amanda. If they were framing Emily, that would be more intense. Other than the suspense on the boat this week, the rest of the episode wasn’t that suspenseful.

I was just expecting a more intense episode. Don’t get me wrong, Emily losing Amanda is a big deal for Emily, but other than Amanda sticking up for Jack she was losing her edge in the show.

So who is in charge of the initiative and how are things going to be now that Helen is gone?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Episode 15

0000066105_20100415153721 (1)Seattle Grace is falling apart and the fate of the hospital lies in Derek, Meredith, Callie, Arizona and Christina’s hands and buying the hospital is much more complicated than they anticipated.

Bailey’s about to quit, Richard is about to retire, interns are about to leave and Owen is super mad at all of his friends. If they don’t hurry up and by the hospital I do not know what is going to be left.

Pegasus hadn’t even bought the hospital yet and everything was already changing. Seattle Grace is a place where the doctor’s break and bend the rules to save their patients and now the hospital is hardly doing enough to treat their patients. No wonder Bailey wants to leave.

This was a very intense episode with Arizona and Christina not wanting to buy the hospital and Callie, Derek and Meredith wanting to buy Seattle Grace. It wasn’t till Arizona and Christina opened their eyes to see what was really going on before they realized Pegasus buying the hospital wasn’t the answer.

There was some lightheartedness in the episode too. Alex has been dancing around the idea of Jo and him getting together and when Jo was asking about if co-workers getting together worked,  I really thought that she was talking about them. I think Alex did too.

So does Jo not have feelings for Alex, or has she just not realized it yet? I really thought the episode would end with them getting together. For the story I think it’s good that they aren’t getting together yet, but with the intensity and uncertainty of the hospital’s fate, it would have been nice.

Why did April lie to him? She had the perfect opportunity to tell him the truth. What is she just going to pretend that she’s still a virgin? She’s not. She can want to not have sex again before marriage, but she can’t change the fact that she is no longer a virgin.

The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 14

tvd-season4-exclusive-wallpapersby-dave-the-vampire-diaries-tv-show-32477502-1024-768 (1)The writers do not hold back. Jeremy is dead?! Katherine has the cure, Klaus is after Tyler, Silas is awake and their most powerful weapon, Bonnie, is bleeding to death. I don’t think it can get much worse than this, well I’m sure it could, but I don’t want to lose anymore of them.

I thought it was odd that Elena was going to kill the hunter, that’s because it wasn’t Elena.

Rebekah and Damon surprised me. I thought for sure Rebekah would try to get the cure for herself without saying a word, but she told Stefan. So, Damon really doesn’t want Elena to get the cure, but he was willing to let her have it. Not that Damon hasn’t been selfless when it comes to Elena before, that wasn’t what surprised me. What surprised me was that he really doesn’t want Elena to have the cure. I thought maybe last week he was just scared. Maybe he is scared, but I really thought he wanted Elena to have the cure.

Why does Katherine want the cure? Doesn’t she like being a vampire? She’s never seemed to have any interest in being human again.

Last week I pondered what would happen if almost everyone took the cure and where that would leave the show. Well, I should have known there was a catch with the cure and I kind of thought there might be. It’s too early into the season and series for their to be a cure for vampirism.

Jenna, Alaric, Carol and now Jeremy are dead. Who’s next? Most shows keep their main characters around, but The Vampire Diaries’ writers are not afraid to kill them off. I’m worried about what comes next? Too many character’s lives are in the balance.

Nashville Season 1 Episode 13

nsh-keyart-v2-630-jpg_223313 (1)This was a very intense episode. We got to see deeper into the characters than we have in the past, especially with Rayna and Juliette.

I don’t think Rayna knows how to deal with this divorce. She’s been going through the motions of the marriage for a while, but she just couldn’t take breaking her children’s hearts. Before her and Teddy told them, Teddy broke the eldest daughter’s heart first, by not concealing his conversation with Peggy too well.

Now how does Rayna feel, knowing that her husband had an affair and lied to her face? She’s still in love with Deacon, and we all know it, but she’s been able to keep faithful. Well besides for a little elevator kiss, but that wasn’t her fault, Deacon sprung that on her.

I hope Deacon and Rayna can work things out. They are meant to to be. I would think that after he finds out what’s going on, he’ll understand. He knows something’s up. I don’t know if he’s more upset that he thinks Rayna slept with Liam or because she opened up to Liam and not him.

Juliette is growing as an artist, but she’s finding it difficult. I absolutely loved the scene where she puts her manager, now former manager, in his place and lets everyone else know who’s boss. I think that if her adrenaline wasn’t pumping so much, she wouldn’t have reacted that way.

She shouldn’t have yelled at everyone, but her manager shouldn’t have gone behind her back either.

Scarlett has a really good heart, and I hope she won’t pay for that. She should have stuck with her first answer, no, when it came to Gunner’s brother staying. He’s been in prison along time. He’s not the same person he use to be and he’s a fugitive on top of that.

She was right when she said that it was Gunner’s brother’s fault, not his. He was just a kid and he was helping out his older brother. His brother was the one responsible for him.

I am happy to see Gunner opening up to Scarlett. I think they would be very good together. How long until these two get together?

Supernatural Season 8 Episode 14

supernatural-season-8-poster-thumb-315xauto-46367 (1)Sam and Dean are one step closer to closing the gates of hell and once again it all lies on Sam. He took it upon himself to put Lucifer back into the cage and now he’s shutting the gates of hell.

We’ve known Sam and Dean now for a very long time. Dean has been in this life for a very long time and he has only had one year out of it and he was miserable. Sam on the other hand has had a few occasions when he’s been able to get out and let’s face it, he prefers that life.

Sam wants to close the gates of hell so he can have a normal life and Dean wants to close the gates of hell so Sam can have a normal life. What about for himself? He finally has his own room. That’s pretty sad that it took him 30 odd years to get his own room. Why can’t he see more of the normal things for himself in the future? Did he just always believe he would die while hunting. Technically he’s already died numerous times.

I think it’s good that Sam has stepped in so maybe they can both have a future after this is all done.

So what are the other tests that they have to pass? In case you haven’t heard yet, Supernatural is coming back for a ninth season. So that makes me think that closing the gates of hell isn’t going to happen this season. If there are no more demons, what’s left for them to fight? When we faced the apocalypse that story took two seasons. Is this going to be like that? I am interested to see how they take the story, now that we know there will be another season.

There’s so much more they can do with the Men of Letters too. I hope they expand on that story.

Dean was a little off his game this week though. How did he not know that the ranch manger had made a deal? I had this feeling she had made a deal before she said it was a only a one night option,  but when she said that I knew it was true. It was so obvious. If you just looked into her eyes you could tell that was going to be her last night on earth.

So what’s next for the Winchester’s? Another test?  Or another case?

Bones Season 8 Episode 15

tv_bones12 (1)There has been very few episodes this season that I’ve been impressed with. Bones has been lacking the quirkiness that made me fall in love with the cast.

The writers out did themselves with this episode though and showed that the show still has spark left in it.

Not only did we get an intense case, we also got some insight into Brennan’s character.

Brennan was at the lab working on the current case in the middle of the night after her and Booth had a fight. We didn’t get much information on the case that the squints were working on before Brennan got shot and things just got more and more intense from that point on.

Brennan went into surgery and her heart stopped twice, and Cam was right there making sure the doctors did everything right. She made it through surgery, which was to be expected, there is no show with out her, but that didn’t stop me from being worried. They didn’t find a bullet though and they didn’t find a bullet in Hal, the security guard, either. That was just so strange.

Then her body rejected the blood, another weird phenomenon. If the squints weren’t on the case, I don’t think this one was going to be solved. Even while Brennan’s lying in a hospital bed recovering from being shot, she still solves the case. That was genius to get a sample of the blood that was shot into her.

One down side to this twist was that it doesn’t seem to be a viable possibility.  Don’t get me wrong this is a fictional show, but I like it when they use non-fiction mixed in with the fiction. The other week they discovered a Neanderthal mixed with a homosapien. Now obviously these  people didn’t discover these bones, but it was nice that they used fact to create the story.

What I really liked about the episode was the insight we got into Brennan’s character. She’s never spoken too much about the last day she saw her mom. I’ve always wondered why Brennan is the way she is. Her mom told her to use her brain and not her heart. She has done just that all of this time. In recent years she’s let her heart shine through a little, but logic always seems to win in the end.

I would like to see more episodes like this. I know it’s tough after eight years to keep coming up with fresh story ideas, but we’ve invested our time into these characters and we would like to see them in good stories.

The Carrie Diaries Season 1 Episode 5

The_Carrie_Diaries_TV_Series-233306192-largeI am really enjoying this show so far.

Carrie is funny, she’s vulnerable, she has such great style and she has really good taste in guys. I’m still liking Sebastian, but he’s moved on, for now, I hope.

Carrie, Maggie and Mouse all had their own little battles to fight this week. Carrie was trying to manager herself in a world she knows nothing about, Maggie was fighting for their territory and Mouse was trying to succeed in bed.

For the most part everyone won. Carrie found a new cute guy, Maggie was able to keep the diner and Mouse successfully satisfied her boyfriend.

We want to hate Sebastian, yes Carrie was in the wrong, but come one now, you know we’re siding with Carrie. But Sebastian is making it so hard for us to hate him. Other than the fact that he likes a fake bimbo. What on earth does he see in her? He seemed to be so much more than that. And obviously he is, if he won back the diner for Carrie and her friends. Maybe Carrie and Sebastian will have their time again, since he doesn’t seem to be going anywhere at the moment.

Mouse should take a look at her relationship. They were split up when he slept with those other girls, but he dumped her after taking her virginity and then went straight into bed with not just one, but two other grils. And she said it had only been two months since they slept together. How long will he be around this time?

I hope when Carrie was standing their watching her friends discuss sex that she’s not thinking of losing her virginity anytime soon. At the moment everything seems great, but Mouse’s boyfriend did dump her after sleeping with her and Maggie lost her virginity to a cop and is letting Walt think that he took her virginity. Let’s not forget that Walt has just figured out he’s gay. I think things are much better where Carrie stands, still trying to find the right guy,

Revenge Season 2 Episode 13

images-11Emily opens up the episode saying: “In its purest form, a union becomes part of our very essence. And when that bond is broken, our essence is forever changed”, and then ends the episode saying: “But the strength of the union cannot be known until it is tested.”

A lot of unions were tested or begun to be tested in this episode.

This week Emily had to watch her childhood love marry someone else, that he thinks is her. It’s a wonder how anyone can truly be in love on this show when there are so many lies and false identities.

Emily has had a hard life and this couldn’t have been easy. The day before Aiden had walked away from her.

Aiden was trained for revenge, but every time things get rough, he walks away. I know Emily wants a partner in crime to lean on, but I don’t know if Aiden is that person. Nolan has always been true to Emily. She has tried to push him away for his own safety, but he’s always there for her.

I don’t think Aiden and Emily’s bond is very strong. Unless he’s with her for the long haul now, I don’t think they can make it work.

Daniel grew up in a life of privilege, but he’s distancing himself from Emily so he can keep her safe. I knew Daniel still had feelings for Emily, I just didn’t know how strong they were.

I really feel for Daniel, he’s just been given all this information showing how dangerous the initiative is and then he goes home to find his mother has killed Hellen Crowley. He’s been  thrown way into the deep end. Conrad, Daniel and Victoria have never been the greatest of teams, but their bond is now going to be tested. Covering up a murder should be easy for them, but the repercussions of killing a woman so powerful, probably won’t be as easy to take care of.

What does this mean? Helen is gone. Who’s there to take her place?

Nolan must really like Padma, since he’s going against Emily’s judgment. Padma did come clean to Nolan, so she’s not all bad. Will she be a double agent for them though? Who will she answer to now that Helen is dead.

This episode certainly created more questions than it answered. And we are left with Nate on the boat ready to take out Jack and Amanda. Is this business deal that important to him that he feels he has to dispose of the problem?

Where does Emily’s Revenge go from here?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Episode 14

0000066105_20100415153721 (1)Finally a solution that might actually work. I know that they went through and ordeal when the plane crashed, but if they didn’t win that money the hospital wouldn’t be in so much trouble. How is 15 million dollars each going to take away their suffering when they lose their purpose in life?

If they bought the hospital they could run it how they want. Which means the ER would be re-opened, but their co-workers might not like it so much. It’s a good idea, but they would have to work out how things would run with them being doctors and owners.

This was a very intense episode. I love episodes that revolve around the ER. Yeah the ER is closed, but this was one of those episodes. The usual subjects were all their breaking the rules yet again, but they always do it for a good cause.

Jo and Alex just need to get together already. They are perfect for each other. I think Alex has finally realized this, but when will he make his move.

April is starting a romance of her own, with the paramedic. A very cute paramedic. Jackson looked a bit jealous there at the end. I never thought that this thing with him and the intern was serious, but the relationship forming with April could be.

Who were you rooting for to become the face of Seattle Grace, Jackson or Alex? I was torn I really like Jackson, but I’ve always been a fan of Alex. There was no right choice for me.

The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 13

tvd-season4-exclusive-wallpapersby-dave-the-vampire-diaries-tv-show-32477502-1024-768 (1)Damon was right all along. Shane is not to be trusted. I don’t think anyone trusted him when they got to the island, but they needed him to find the cure.

We got to learn more about Silas and what needs to be done to bring him back. There is another sacrifice that needs to be done. Hybrids and humans have already been sacrificed, what’s left?

Who is the guy that is helping Shane? He looked like the guy chasing him last time he was on the island.

Bonnie is the descendant of this old witch? That doesn’t surprise me at all. What worries me is if she will kill herself when bringing Silas back.

We have met another one of the five and I’m assuming he is the one that saved Jeremy, but why didn’t he just kill Damon, why just snap his neck? And what does he want with the cure?

So Damon has been kidnapped by a hunter, Bonnie and Jeremy are with Shane and can’t get away and that leaves Stefan, Rebekah and Elena to team up together. They all desperately want to be human again. Is that enough to call a truce in the meantime?

I knew Damon didn’t want to take the cure. He loves being a vampire. But I didn’t know he didn’t want Elena to take the cure or is that just his fear talking? I was so happy that they were finally together and now he’s pushing her away. Does he ever want to be happy?

We are on the verge of finding the cure, assuming it works. Stefan, Elena and Rebekah are definitely taking it, what about everyone else?

We know that Damon won’t and I think Caroline won’t because Tyler won’t be taking it. We’ve got far less vampires on a show that’s called the The Vampire Diaries. I like the whole cure idea, but I think it’s more of an ending than a during. Unless the cure isn’t there or it doesn’t work. We will just have to watch and see.
