The Vampire Diaries Star Candice Accola Posts Cutest Baby Announcement

After losing Nina Dobrev on The Vampire Diaries, we actually have some good TVD cast news, Candice Accola is pregnant!

She had the cutest pregnancy announcement on Instagram. She posted a picture on Monday of her with her husband Joe King and her step children. They all wore white painted t-shirts. Candice had baby written on hers with a little baby bump. Joe had ‘SuperDad’ on his. Candice wrote:¬†“Sometimes a Saturday is best spent painting t-shirts and taking an awesome family photo. Happy Monday everybody!”

Since Candice plays barbie vamp Caroline Forbes, we can assume there won’t be a pregnancy written into the show, but it won’t be the first time a baby bump was covered up. Kerry Washington was pregnant during filming Scandal and you¬†couldn’t event tell.

Candice married The Fray’s Joe last year in a beautiful ceremony in New Orleans. She announced her change of status in a gorgeous photo on Instagram. The girl knows how to make big announcements.

I was obsessed with this photo when the TVD actress first posted it because her wedding looked like a fairy tale.

Congratulations to Candice and Joe and I’m looking forward to chronicling her maternity style.

I’m so happy for her growing family, but I hope that doesn’t mean she’ll be the next one to exit TVD. Kat Graham is already thinking about making this her last season.

I’m excited for more Caroline and Steroline scenes in season seven, so I don’t want to be losing her just yet.

What was your reaction to this super cute announcement?

‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Review: Reacting to the Chaos

Fear The Walking Dead – Fear The Walking Dead _ Season 1, Key Art – Photo Credit: Frank Ockenfels 3/AMC

The zombie apocalypse has barely started and there is already a panic. There’s a few people that know what’s going on, even if they don’t understand it. Then there’s the people who are blaming the cops and then there’s the people who have no idea anything is going on at all. Doesn’t matter what category you are in, things are not good.

It looks like some people figured out it was a virus right from the beginning. Alicia’s boyfriend was bit, but Calvin was shot and still became a walker. These people are in a totally different location, so I’m sure their story will be a bit different than Daryl and Glenn’s story was. Plus if you think about Maggie and her family, they kept their loved ones locked up thinking they could cure them. So who knows how this story is going to play out.

When we were introduced to Madison we knew she was a tough woman. She wasn’t a romantic, but still a caring person. This week she’s faced off with her colleague, who’s a walker. I don’t think people quite understand that the walkers are dead and their loved ones are no more. Madison feels like she’s killed her colleague. Though Nick seems to understand that the person they knew, is no more. Nick seems to be catching on to everything a lot quicker than anyone else.

If Nick didn’t get through to his sister, his sister would probably be dead and he probably would have been dead too.

It’s about time Madison started talking to Alicia. She managed to get Alicia way from her boyfriend, but Alicia does not understand why she can’t go help a neighbor and why her other neighbor is doing the attacking. Maybe Madison hasn’t worked through it all herself, but if she wants to keep Alicia safe, she needs to start talking.

Parents always want to keep their kids safe, but sometimes shielding them from the information is not the best way to do it.

Fear the Walking Dead is portraying the beginning very realistically. Everyone is having different reactions and no one really understands what’s going on. It’s an interesting perspective for the audience, who know where this is all going.

Madison has her kids, but her boyfriend is with his ex-wife and son. they’ve already been separated. I want to assume¬†they will be reunited at some point, but maybe that’s not how the story goes.

If you are excited for closer contact with the walkers, it doesn’t look like you’ll have to wait too long. In two weeks the walkers look to be closing in on the characters.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Headed to NY Comic-Con

CNWbjtxUYAAgAMGPretty Little Liars is heading to New York Comic-Con. Which will probably surprise some people, because it’s not the typical thing that would appear at the event. But it does have a big bad villain and heroes trying to defeat her.

PLL isn’t the only ABC Family show heading to New York. The new hit show Stitchers will also be appearing and upcoming Shadowhunters will be there too. Stitchers and PLL will have back to back panels on Friday, October 9 at 11/10c am in room 1A06 and the cast of Shadowhunters will appear on Saturday, October 10 at 11am on the Empire Stage.

Lucy Hale (Aria Montgomery), Ashley Benson (Hanna Marin), Shay Mitchell (Emily Fields), Troian Bellisario (Spencer Hastings) and Sasha Pieterse (Alison DiLaurentis) will be discussing the ‘A’ reveal and what’s next for the series.

According to TVLine, executive producers I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick and Joseph Dougherty will also be in attendance and will bring new footage of the five-year time jump with them.

I was super excited when I heard the liars would be at NY Comic-Con, especially seeing as I already got my three day passes!

The drama is a little different from what you see at these cons, unless it’s San Diego, and that’s filled with TV shows.

I’m curious how popular this panel will be. I’m not sure how many people who are going are also fans of the show. The ABC Family drama has a huge fan base, but maybe not necessarily the same fans that go to NY Comic-Con.

I was also surprised to see that the panel will be in one of the panel rooms and not the Main Stage or the Empire Stage. This makes me think that the organizers don’t think it’s going to be very big, but could it be bigger than they realize?

Last year was my first year at NY Comic-Con and I had no idea how any of it worked. I read the doors opened at 10, but I didn’t realize that if you wanted to go to the big panels, you had to get there a lot earlier than that. I read that people lined up at 5 am in the morning for The Walking Dead. I would have been one of those people, if I knew that’s what you were supposed to do.

On Sunday I knew what the deal was and I arrived at about 7am to line up to see the Gotham panel. I was able to get my wristband for that and then rush over to see The Following panel on the Empire Stage. There was a lot of time spent in lines that day, but it was well worth it.

I’m not sure how it will work for PLL, but you can be sure that I’ll be in line early to see them.

We still don’t know who will be appearing on the Main Stage. Could The Walking Dead be returning? Heroes Reborn could be huge too. Will they want to promote their new show?¬†There’s a lot of comic movies coming out too, could those films be in attendance? And lets not forget about Star Wars, which is right around the corner.

There’s a lot of possibilities, but who will NY Comic-Con get?

Are you going to be lining up to see Pretty Little Liars at NY Comic Con?

‘Scream’ Review: Let the Blood Bath Commence

Is this really our killer?

Is this really our killer?

Going into the season finale they’re a lot of questions about who the killer is. Is it someone who has looked guilty or are we going to be very surprised?

Kieran has been mysterious since the beginning and there’s always been a big question mark over his head. We never knew enough about him to say he was the killer or to take him off the suspect list. He was just always around. Now a video shows up showing that he was with Nina the night before she was killed and it’s the only link to Rachel.

The hard part was that we know Rachel is connected, but we had nothing to connect her to the rest of the murders. So this new piece of evidence looks pretty damning.

Noah has had question marks about their teacher Branson for a while now and he found the evidence that led the police straight to him. But there doesn’t seem to be enough physical evidence to prove it was him. It doesn’t help his case that he broke out of jail and left a dead body and the Sheriff had been kidnapped too. Though he still could just be the fall guy.

When Branson’s mother said Seth came to see her, I wasn’t convinced. Not because I’m sure it wasn’t Seth, but because she’s an unreliable witness. She thought Emma was Daisy. Then Piper went back to be absolutely¬†sure and said Mrs. James pointed out Kieran. This could be just another clue to point to Kieran or it could be Piper pointing fingers again. Did we ever really check her off the suspect list? She’s always around too, just like Billy’s mom was in the second film and she was a reporter.

There I go again comparing clues to the original films. I keep saying I’ll stop doing that and I seem to find more comparisons.

If Kieran is the killer, than the story just took a very gross turn. Emma slept with him and if he is her half brother, that’s awful for Emma. She’s going to be scared for life. We don’t actually know if the baby her mom gave up his Branson’s. Maggie is still waiting for the results. If the lost son isn’t Bran’s child, then what is the reason for all of these murders and why does it come back to Emma?

We still don’t know where Emma’s father is in all of this. Not that we know enough about him to really be the killer. But who knows.

Jake was looking less guilty this week. Just more of a big idiot. He was probably just an idiot this whole time. He likes to seem sexy by making threats. Like saying he’d kill Branson if he hurt Brooke. I get the sentiment behind it, but when so many people have actually been killed, that’s maybe not the best line you want to use on a girl.

I was a little disappointed with the lack of anything happening at the dance, but that might just be what’s coming next week. Parties and horror films seem to go hand in hand and we haven’t even made it to Brooke’s after party yet. That’s where everything happened in the fourth film. Sorry I did it again. But that is where the fourth film ended.

It all comes down to next week’s season finale. Will anyone make it out alive?

‘The Whispers’ Review: They’re Coming

Drill is in the White House!

Drill is in the White House!

This was one crazy episode. Half the time I was crying and the other half I was yelling at the screen. I was not sure how it was going to end.

As the evidence pilled up against Minx, I still wasn’t convinced it was her. Drill is really good at getting kids to do his bidding. And just because it was Minx’s file that was altered didn’t make me think it had to be her. Maybe I’m just really use to ‘A’ in Pretty Little Liars and she sure liked to make you think someone else was ‘A’.

I don’t know what else they could have done to prove Minx wasn’t Drill. But as I said before, they had to make absolutely sure it was her.

Talking to the reporter was a good and bad idea. Sean’s only agenda was to get Henry home, but the reporter was able to give them some valuable information that proved Minx wasn’t Drill. But getting the kids released was also a bad idea, because Drill was set free.

Then all of a sudden Drill was in the White House and things got really exciting and quite scary. Claire tried everything to stop Drill. I’m surprised they didn’t just shoot her when she ran past the secret service. But I think the President will forgive her for putting not just her country first, but the world.

The President is so well protected no one could stop Drill from sending out the message and now all of his family and friends will be heading to Earth.

When I was really yelling at the screen was when Minx was being taken to be killed and in a very brutal way. That poor soldier couldn’t even push the button and I don’t blame him. I wouldn’t even be able to walk Formmer through it. Of course I would have been kicked out with Wes and Claire because I would have been fighting for them no to kill Minx. You have to be absolutely sure beyond a doubt and the evidence didn’t make me think it was her beyond a doubt. I still had doubts.

There was only two seconds when they finally stopped the count down. It was insane. I could finally breathe after Wes saved his daughter.

It was heartbreaking watching him think that Minx was actually possessed by Drill. Drill had taken his wife from him and now he though Drill had taken his daughter too. I really want Wes to be the one to take him out because he deserves the justice. This poor man has been through so much.

So Drill’s kind are on their way. What does that mean for the world? And what will the President do now that it’s his kid? He was quick to say kill Minx, but will he be so quick when it’s his daughter? It’s way too late to eliminate Drill now because more of him are on their way anyways. We can’t say he made the wrong call with that first boy, because killing an innocent child is not the answer. He made the wrong call when he sent the kids home. Then he set up a press conference making it very convenient¬†¬†for Drill to send his message. The President played right into Drill’s hands.

One final note, I loved the reporters face when Sean told him that Drill wasn’t human. He thought it was some secret nuclear program. He had no idea he was about to write a story about aliens. Of course now there will be wide spread panic. But he still has a story of a lifetime.

Their children are not safe yet. The season finale is next week. Are you ready for the battle to protect the children?

‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Review: It’s All Beginning

fear-the-walking-dead-posterWhen I first heard about Fear the Walking Dead I thought it was a very bad idea. I generally like spin-offs but this wasn’t really a spin-off. The more and more I’ve read about the show in the last week, the more I’ve warmed to the idea.

Then I watched the pilot and it was quite good. It reminded me a lot of Shaun of the Dead though, just without the comedy.

It is kind of interesting to see how it all started. I read that it was going to start really slow and it sure has. They have no idea what is going on yet.

Nick was one of the first people to see the zombie apocalypse start and he was not a credible witness. He was coming down from a bender.

Nick’s mother’s boyfriend, Travis, went out on a limb and took what he said seriously. He checked out the church where Nick said it happened, but of course the bodies had walked up and left already. Travis saw enough to believe Nick saw something. There was a lot of blood.

I’m very intrigued by these new characters. Madison and Travis are very good teachers.Travis was really good at getting his students involved in the conversation. He wasn’t punishing them for not paying attention or sleeping in class, he was engaging them. It’s too bad none of this is going to matter.

Madison saved a boy from getting suspended. That was a really cool thing to do. She didn’t let the boy get away with it, but instead of punishing him, she tried talking to him to find out what was going on. The boy had a knife to protect himself from the walkers, well we knew that’s what the knife was for, but the boy couldn’t understand what going on enough to explain to Madison what was happening.

But why would you believe it? If someone told me about people eating people, I would laugh and think they were talking about The Walking Dead or some zombie flick. I would never even entertain the idea that what they were saying was true.

Nick feels like he’s going crazy because the bodies keep disappearing. His mom and Travis finally saw it for themselves, but they can’t figure it out.

I like how the writers have done the story so far. While I was watching it I felt like I wanted to get to the zombie part faster, but I’m actually kind of glad it’s going as slow as it is. The characters are developing and it’s nice to see realistic reactions to the events. You’re not going to be it’s a zombie or walker or whatever else you want to call them, because in everyone’s mind, zombies do not exist.

The pilot has set us up with characters who deeply care about each other, so they are going to fight to protect each other. Nick wasn’t even in his right mind, but when he saw Calvin attack his mom, he fought back. Granted running over a walker with a truck is going to do very little, but they don’t know that yet. All that’s happening right now it they’re getting even more confused.

The¬†apocalypse is just getting started. Here’s what we get to look forward to this season:

The Top 5 Looks From ‘PLL’ Season 6 So Far

Spencer: Nora gown by Walter Mendez, Emily: Michael Costello fall 2015 collection dress, Hanna: Sherri Hill fall 2015 collection dress, Aria: Kesten fitted cropped tank and Tina floral-print ball skirt by Alice and Olivia.

Dances are always great on PLL for all the fashion!

The first part of season six of Pretty Little Liars is over and with it they brought a lot of great fashion, as usual.

We may have a long wait for new episodes this winter, but we can still re-watch every episode to recount all the ‘A’ clues and all the great fashion!

I always say that Aria and Hanna are my favorite fashionistas on PLL, and it shows in my top five best looks from season six so far. Sadly Spencer and Emily didn’t make my list, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love those liars too. I just love everything Aria and Hanna wear!

5. Hanna, episode 6

I’m obsessed with the floral Orsola moto jacket by¬†Guess¬†that Hanna wore in this episode.¬†I fell in love with this jacket as soon as she appeared on screen. The Malone silk cropped top by¬†Rebecca Minkoff with tulip-style overlay really added another element to this look.

4. Hanna, episode 5

Hanna looked so grown up in this episode and totally changed my mind about fruit printed clothes! She wore a pineapple print full cotton skirt by MSGM and a black blazer. I loved that her necklace and classic saddle flap crossbody bag matched with the pineapples. I love coordinating like this.

3. Aria, episode 4

I’ve never been a fan of rompers, but when I saw Aria in the animal print romper by MinkPink, I totally changed my mind. I love tigers, but I liked how the romper mixed the tiger print with the zebra print. It was just so cute that I liked it without the jacket.

I also loved the long-sleeve white and black colorblocked cropped jacket she wore by Rachel Roy. I would so wear the jacket with jeans too.

2. Hanna, episode 8

I love when Hanna wears dresses and I think the dress she wore in this episode definitely¬†ranks as one of my favorite dresses of all the seasons. She wore a snake print shift dress by Sam Edelman and a razor buckled belt by Alexander McQueen. I love how Hanna seems to always add a belt to her dresses. It’s steps up her look and I like the purple, green and black in this dress.

1. Aria, episode 9

For the most part I wanted to keep the prom dresses off this list, because then the list would be of all the prom dresses. But I loved Aria’s cropped top and skirt. It was great for the dance, but I feel like she could wear this outside of a school dance too. It really helped that I felt she was channeling Ariel in this look, even if Lucy Hale says it was Snow White. The altered cropped top and ¬†floral-print ball skirt are by Alice & Olivia.

What are your favorite looks from season six so far?

‘Fear the Walking Dead’: Going Back to Where it All Began

Fear-the-Walking-Dead-posterThis Sunday we go back in time to see what happened when Rick was in a coma, but we are in a very different location, with very different characters.

This isn’t the first time zombies have taken over cities. The trailer of Fear the Walking Dead reminded me of Shaun of the Dead, just without the laughs. Then there’s Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Night of the Living Dead and the list goes on.

Zombies appearing is not a new thing. The Walking Dead brought a fresh perspective and great characters to tell the story. It also jumped right into the chaos. We didn’t see how it all started.

Executive Producer¬†Gale Anne Hurd told Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con that there won’t be any police officers leading them into the apocalypse this time. She said the characters are “like the average person.”

That would explain why the trailer reminded me of Shaun of the Dead. Sean Pegg’s film is one of my favorite zombie movies, not because it’s hilarious, but because it feels very real. I can totally see that happening and playing out the way it did in the film.

If Fear the Walking Dead can take that realness and add the scariness of The Walking Dead, they may just have something.

The actors on the show are not calling this a spin-off. They are quick to call it a companion series. It take place in a different time and place than the original series. This is very different than most spin-off shows. They will be no opportunities for crossovers.

You can now see the first three minutes of the premiere and it starts out pretty slow. It’s not even until 2:25 that the music kicks in and the show gets going.

Frank Dillane opens up the pilot playing Nick Clark, a junkie looking for his girlfriend, but stumbles upon the zombie apocalypse. This young actor made his film debut playing 16-year-old Tom Riddle in Harry Potter¬†and the Half-Blood Prince. Now he’s opening up a TV show.

There a few up and comers starring in this zombie show: Lorenzo James Henrie (Chris Manawa) and Mercedes Mason (Ofelia Salazar).

There are some known faces too. Kim Dickens (Madison Clark) is known for guest starring on shows like Deadwood, House of Cards and Sons of Anarchy.

Cliff Curtis (Travis Manawa) is known for films like Training Day, Three Kings and Live Free or Die Hard.

Fear The Walking Dead - Fear The Walking Dead _ Season 1, Key Art - Photo Credit: Frank Ockenfels 3/AMC

Rubén Blades (Daniel Salazar) is known for Safe House and Predator 2.

Spin-offs are so popular because it’s a known and successful brand and broadcasters want to capitalize on that. I love The Originals and I loved Private Practice, so it can work. Private Practice only last five years and Grey’s Anatomy is continuing on. Angel only last five years too after leaving Buffy for his own show.

In order for this show to work, these characters need to make fans fall in love with them just how they fell in love with the cast on the original show. It always comes down to the characters. Even if you have a great compelling storyline, if the characters aren’t likable, it won’t work.

Are you ready for a new chapter in The Walking Dead story? Do you think going back from the beginning and telling how it all began was a good idea? Or do you think they should have just stuck with The Walking Dead? Will you be watching?

Fear the Walking Dead is premiering Sunday on AMC at 9/8c.

Are You Having ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Withdrawals Yet?

59116026ad8a2f2e417e357a7d6fb66dIt’s only the first week without Pretty Little Liars and I’m already missing Aria, Hanna, Spencer and Emily. Are you?

When the liars return this winter they will be in a very different place in their lives and there will be a new mystery. The ABC Family drama as we know it, will be no more.

But we still have five and half seasons of the mystery of ‘A’ to enjoy and now’s the time to put all the clues together and see if CeCe fits in with everything. We didn’t even meet her till episode seven of season three.

We have plenty of time before the winter premiere to watch and re-watch season three to six to see if everything fits.

In the meantime here are five episodes to get started with and to help fill the void the liars have left us:

Over My Dead Body: Season 2 Episode, 12

‘A’ really stepped up her game in this episode. She made the girls believe that Dr.¬†Sullivan was in danger and set them up to be in question over Alison’s murder.

What I loved about the episode was the snippets that we saw. We kept jumping back and forth in time to find out how the liars ended up covered in dirt and at the police station.

While this episode may have nothing to do with piecing together everything to follow CeCe as ‘A’, it’s a great place to start with binge watching PLL till we get brand new episodes this winter.

This is a Dark Ride: Season 3 Episode 12

Sure you can look for clues in this episode, but this is just a great episode. Since it doesn’t look like we are getting a Halloween special this year, just relive this great one!

This is one of the best PLL episodes of all time. You’ve got the great costumes, numerous ‘A’ clues, lots of suspense, boyfriend¬†surprises and of course, Aria almost being pushed off the train!

Sure we want to re-examine all the clues that show CeCe is ‘A’, but we have months to gather the evidence. We should just enjoy some of the episodes too. It’s going to be a long drought before the girls are back!

Taking This One to the Grave: Season 5 Episode 12

I was absolutely shocked and devastated by this episode. I was so upset that Mona was dead and then I loved it even more when we found out Mona faked her death and ‘A’ had taken her. I also loved how Mona was actually working with the liars, even if it was short lived.

I just totally didn’t see this coming. I know a lot of people like to figure out what’s going to happen next, but I prefer when I’m surprised and this episode was the biggest surprise for me. I was so relieved when Mona was alive though.

This is a great episode and you can try to spot those clues that point to CeCe!

How the ‘A’ Stole Christmas: Season 5, Episode 13

In season five we didn’t get a Halloween episode, but we did get a nice Christmas episode! This episode is sure to be littered with ‘A’ clues, especially seeing as CeCe is in the episode.

But once again the girls are on the hunt for clues, but this time for ‘A’ being Alison. And of course there’s so much great fashion with the Ice Ball. And Ali has started an army of her own, people she poached from Mona’s army.

The episode has a pinch of Christmas cheer, sexy Santas, ‘A’ clues, suspense, danger and the last word from ‘A’: Merry Christmas, Bitches ¬†– A.

Welcome to the Dollhouse: Season 5, Episode 25

This was one of the best episodes ever of PLL. ‘A’ was getting scarier and scarier and then she just took her dolls and started to play with them. After watching this season finale I thought, how can the show ever out do this finale? And if they can’t, the show should just come to end. Up to this point each finale has outdone the last. So far, still, so good, but now that we will have a new mystery, who knows.

We get up close and personal with ‘A’ in this episode. Is there anything in here that points to CeCe?

These are all great episodes to start with while we are waiting for PLL to come back. But you could just start from the beginning too. All episodes are on Netflix, so happy ‘A’ hunting!

‘Scream’ Review: Ghosts from the Past

Have the two film geeks cracked the case?

Have the two film geeks cracked the case?

Noah didn’t know how right he was when he said Emma was processing what had happened, but she was processing it in a very scary way.

Will kept coming back to give her a message and lead her to what was right in front of her all along.

I knew there was more to the Bran story than Maggie told us, but as I said last week, it’s not typical to tell your daughter about someone you slept with in high school.

There was so much more to the story.¬†I had accepted that Maggie just went out of town to avoid the press, it never even occurred to me that she left because she was pregnant. Was the baby Emma’s father’s or Bran’s? I think it was Bran. If this mystery child isn’t the killer, I think he or she has something to do with this whole mess. Whatever is the cause of all these murders, it all comes back to Emma’s family.

I really enjoyed this episode. Emma was not fine at all. She couldn’t sleep and she was having hallucinations, very scary ones at that.

In the third Scream film, Maureen’s secret child turned out to be the killer. Not that this script is following everything from the films, but it does make me think about that. If the killer is this mystery child, the murderer can’t be any of the students.

That could point fingers at Seth, but I don’t believe he’s the killer. I think he’s the fall guy. Especially now that he’s been taken into custody. The killer can’t be revealed yet. Though in the first film we thought that Billy was the killer for two seconds and then crossed him of the list and then he turned out to be the killer. But I think I’m over thinking this killer thing, quite like Noah and Audrey.

This Scream has taken on a life of its own with a very cool backstory. So I’m going to forget the original films and just enjoy the ride.

I got really worried when the killer went after Brooke. I didn’t like her at the beginning, but she’s had such great character development and I’m not ready to lose her yet.

Noah has the best monologues, but this week he just kept saying the wrong thing. It’s fun watching him and Audrey try to solve the case. They are convinced the killer his Branson. The evidence doesn’t look good for the teacher, but there’s always a fall guy.

Next week Noah isn’t so sure the killer is Branson anymore, but the Sheriff is confident.
