‘The Originals’ Season 3 Promo is Here!

The Originals season three promo is here and appears to be all about Klaus.

Klaus always says he doesn’t want to be alone, but he loves acting alone and he loves to be feared. He may or may not be feared in season three, but he sure wants people to fear him.

Everyone seems to be alone. The only one that seems to be talking to anyone is Cami. And as we know from Comic-Con, Cami is now Klaus’ therapist. How many years of therapy will it take Klaus to over come a 1,000 years of emotional scars?

We do get to see a little glimpse of Elijah and he’s feeling pretty indestructible, by saying they can’t be killed.

Hayley appears in two clips, I wonder how long till the cures will be lifted from her?

Freya is only seen at the very end of the promo, saying they’ll all fall. This really disappoints me. She’s supposed to be a series regular this season, so I’m expecting to see a lot more of her.

This promo doesn’t really tell us much of what’s going on. Just that there’s a lot of family drama going on, but when isn’t there with the Original family?

There is a brief mention of a war brewing between the sire lines, but we don’t really get to see too much of that. We do get to see a little clip of Hayley fighting and guns pointed at Elijah, but unless it’s a special kind of gun, it’s not going to do much to him.

What actually worries me is the blood coming from Davina’s eyes. Is she still trying to bring Kol back? We know she wasn’t going to give up. She’s got more power now being the Regent, but can she handle that power?

Even with the promo telling us very little, I’m still very excited for this season. We know a lot of what’s coming from Comic-Con, so the promo gives you a little visual for that.

My guess is that they don’t want to give too much away, or maybe that’s just my hope. We know there will be a lot of flashbacks and this promo doesn’t show any of that. So there’s a lot to look forward to and this promo is really just a tease.

The Originals will return Thursday, Oct. 8 at 9/8c pm on The CW.

‘The Originals’: More Claire Holt in Season 3

I have some very good news for Rebekah fans, we’re going to get to see a lot more of her in season three.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Julie Plec said we are going to get see a lot of Claire Holt in the beginning of season three through flashbacks.

“One of the stories that we’re telling is that first 10 years of being a vampire after [the Originals] fled their raging father and their mother, and how they became the cultured, posh, fascinating people that they are today. And that’s how we introduce the Trinity: through that flashback storyline,” Julie told EW.

We are going to find out who Rebekah sired and how she sired her first vampire. Then jump forward to present day and she’s in just as much danger from the Trinity as her brothers are.

Julie also noted that the these vampires won’t bring the Originals together, but actually tear them apart even more, because you kill one Original and the entire line dies.

Elijah and Klaus are already at odds, so it won’t actually be that hard to tear the siblings further apart.

I’m so happy to know that Claire will be playing Rebekah again. She was my favorite Original from the beginning. Now she does have some competition though, because I’m loving Freya. Not that I can’t have two favorite Originals.

I like Cami and Hayley, but I was upset when Rebekah left because I didn’t like there just being male Originals. I wanted more females on the show. That’s why I was so happy when Freya showed up, but now it’s even better having Rebekah and Freya. This should make for a great third season.

The Originals will return Thursday, Oct. 8 at 9/8c pm on The CW.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season Seven Promo is Here!

If you weren’t already excited for season seven of The Vampire Diaries, take a look at the promo and prepared to feel a little better about having no Elena this season.

We’re about to encounter a very different kind of enemy. An enemy that the gang is making deals with and since when did they start making deals with their enemies? There’s always some sort of plan to take the enemy down, even if the plan never usually works out well.

You were never supposed to be a vampire and a witch, but these were special witches. We saw how evil Kai was and now there’s more of them!

If the action and the heritics taking over Mystic Falls isn’t enough, we get a little peek at Steroline kissing! So we know we don’t have to wait long for this couple to start blooming. Of course I hope there’s a lot more than this one kiss to look forward to.

Plus Damon is back to his old ways. Not that I didn’t love Damon with Elena, because I did. But he’s sexy and naughty again and never likes to play by anyone’s rules.

Caroline and Kat are the only two leading ladies this season. Kat is ready to fight back and Caroline is seen kidnapped!

With more screen time for these to lovely ladies, I hope they get really good storylines. Kat hasn’t had a very good storyline because she’s been trapped in another dimension, but now she should get a killer storyline. She’s very powerful and I’m sure she’s still angry at what happened with Elena.

I’m most looking forward to more Caroline and the progression of Steroline. Caroline has always been my favorite female character and I was always disappointed when she wasn’t in an episode. Now is the time for the writers to utilize her more.

I love Damon too, so I’m looking forward to sexy, naughty Damon. October needs to get here quicker.

What are you most looking forward to when TVD returns?

Time for a Little Hiatus

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! Primetime Addiction is taking a week off and it’s the perfect time because we’re waiting for all of our shows to come back! Does anyone else want fall too hurry up and get here?!

I’ll be back with my post for Fear the Walking Dead on Monday, September 14. I hope you all have a great week!

The Vampire Diaries Star Candice Accola Posts Cutest Baby Announcement

After losing Nina Dobrev on The Vampire Diaries, we actually have some good TVD cast news, Candice Accola is pregnant!

She had the cutest pregnancy announcement on Instagram. She posted a picture on Monday of her with her husband Joe King and her step children. They all wore white painted t-shirts. Candice had baby written on hers with a little baby bump. Joe had ‘SuperDad’ on his. Candice wrote: “Sometimes a Saturday is best spent painting t-shirts and taking an awesome family photo. Happy Monday everybody!”

Since Candice plays barbie vamp Caroline Forbes, we can assume there won’t be a pregnancy written into the show, but it won’t be the first time a baby bump was covered up. Kerry Washington was pregnant during filming Scandal and you couldn’t event tell.

Candice married The Fray’s Joe last year in a beautiful ceremony in New Orleans. She announced her change of status in a gorgeous photo on Instagram. The girl knows how to make big announcements.

A post shared by Candice King (@candiceking) on

I was obsessed with this photo when the TVD actress first posted it because her wedding looked like a fairy tale.

Congratulations to Candice and Joe and I’m looking forward to chronicling her maternity style.

I’m so happy for her growing family, but I hope that doesn’t mean she’ll be the next one to exit TVD. Kat Graham is already thinking about making this her last season.

I’m excited for more Caroline and Steroline scenes in season seven, so I don’t want to be losing her just yet.

What was your reaction to this super cute announcement?

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Headed to NY Comic-Con

CNWbjtxUYAAgAMGPretty Little Liars is heading to New York Comic-Con. Which will probably surprise some people, because it’s not the typical thing that would appear at the event. But it does have a big bad villain and heroes trying to defeat her.

PLL isn’t the only ABC Family show heading to New York. The new hit show Stitchers will also be appearing and upcoming Shadowhunters will be there too. Stitchers and PLL will have back to back panels on Friday, October 9 at 11/10c am in room 1A06 and the cast of Shadowhunters will appear on Saturday, October 10 at 11am on the Empire Stage.

Lucy Hale (Aria Montgomery), Ashley Benson (Hanna Marin), Shay Mitchell (Emily Fields), Troian Bellisario (Spencer Hastings) and Sasha Pieterse (Alison DiLaurentis) will be discussing the ‘A’ reveal and what’s next for the series.

According to TVLine, executive producers I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick and Joseph Dougherty will also be in attendance and will bring new footage of the five-year time jump with them.

I was super excited when I heard the liars would be at NY Comic-Con, especially seeing as I already got my three day passes!

The drama is a little different from what you see at these cons, unless it’s San Diego, and that’s filled with TV shows.

I’m curious how popular this panel will be. I’m not sure how many people who are going are also fans of the show. The ABC Family drama has a huge fan base, but maybe not necessarily the same fans that go to NY Comic-Con.

I was also surprised to see that the panel will be in one of the panel rooms and not the Main Stage or the Empire Stage. This makes me think that the organizers don’t think it’s going to be very big, but could it be bigger than they realize?

Last year was my first year at NY Comic-Con and I had no idea how any of it worked. I read the doors opened at 10, but I didn’t realize that if you wanted to go to the big panels, you had to get there a lot earlier than that. I read that people lined up at 5 am in the morning for The Walking Dead. I would have been one of those people, if I knew that’s what you were supposed to do.

On Sunday I knew what the deal was and I arrived at about 7am to line up to see the Gotham panel. I was able to get my wristband for that and then rush over to see The Following panel on the Empire Stage. There was a lot of time spent in lines that day, but it was well worth it.

I’m not sure how it will work for PLL, but you can be sure that I’ll be in line early to see them.

We still don’t know who will be appearing on the Main Stage. Could The Walking Dead be returning? Heroes Reborn could be huge too. Will they want to promote their new show? There’s a lot of comic movies coming out too, could those films be in attendance? And lets not forget about Star Wars, which is right around the corner.

There’s a lot of possibilities, but who will NY Comic-Con get?

Are you going to be lining up to see Pretty Little Liars at NY Comic Con?

‘Fear the Walking Dead’: Going Back to Where it All Began

Fear-the-Walking-Dead-posterThis Sunday we go back in time to see what happened when Rick was in a coma, but we are in a very different location, with very different characters.

This isn’t the first time zombies have taken over cities. The trailer of Fear the Walking Dead reminded me of Shaun of the Dead, just without the laughs. Then there’s Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Night of the Living Dead and the list goes on.

Zombies appearing is not a new thing. The Walking Dead brought a fresh perspective and great characters to tell the story. It also jumped right into the chaos. We didn’t see how it all started.

Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd told Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con that there won’t be any police officers leading them into the apocalypse this time. She said the characters are “like the average person.”

That would explain why the trailer reminded me of Shaun of the Dead. Sean Pegg’s film is one of my favorite zombie movies, not because it’s hilarious, but because it feels very real. I can totally see that happening and playing out the way it did in the film.

If Fear the Walking Dead can take that realness and add the scariness of The Walking Dead, they may just have something.

The actors on the show are not calling this a spin-off. They are quick to call it a companion series. It take place in a different time and place than the original series. This is very different than most spin-off shows. They will be no opportunities for crossovers.

You can now see the first three minutes of the premiere and it starts out pretty slow. It’s not even until 2:25 that the music kicks in and the show gets going.

Frank Dillane opens up the pilot playing Nick Clark, a junkie looking for his girlfriend, but stumbles upon the zombie apocalypse. This young actor made his film debut playing 16-year-old Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Now he’s opening up a TV show.

There a few up and comers starring in this zombie show: Lorenzo James Henrie (Chris Manawa) and Mercedes Mason (Ofelia Salazar).

There are some known faces too. Kim Dickens (Madison Clark) is known for guest starring on shows like Deadwood, House of Cards and Sons of Anarchy.

Cliff Curtis (Travis Manawa) is known for films like Training Day, Three Kings and Live Free or Die Hard.

Rubén Blades (Daniel Salazar) is known for Safe House and Predator 2.

Spin-offs are so popular because it’s a known and successful brand and broadcasters want to capitalize on that. I love The Originals and I loved Private Practice, so it can work. Private Practice only last five years and Grey’s Anatomy is continuing on. Angel only last five years too after leaving Buffy for his own show.

In order for this show to work, these characters need to make fans fall in love with them just how they fell in love with the cast on the original show. It always comes down to the characters. Even if you have a great compelling storyline, if the characters aren’t likable, it won’t work.

Are you ready for a new chapter in The Walking Dead story? Do you think going back from the beginning and telling how it all began was a good idea? Or do you think they should have just stuck with The Walking Dead? Will you be watching?

Fear the Walking Dead is premiering Sunday on AMC at 9/8c.

Teen Choice Awards: Jared Padalecki Wins Choice Actor, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins Win Choice Chemistry

avatar-teenchoice-copySupernatural has been nominated for Teen Choice Awards for years and in its tenth season the show finally brought home two awards.

Jared Padalecki won the Choice TV Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy award. Jared has done some great work over the last ten years, but in the year of Dean taking on the mark, you would have at least thought Jensen Ackles would have been nominated for this award too. This year it was once again brother saving brother. Jared has played this out numerous times before and this time Sam had to watch his brother turn into a demon and almost had to kill him. Not that dying means too much on this show.

Jensen wasn’t left out in the cold though. Jensen and Misha Collins won the Choice TV Chemistry award for Dean and Castiel.

For many seasons Cass and Dean have had such great chemistry, but did everyone forget about Crowley and Dean? They’ve had a great bromance going for the last couple of seasons too. It’s a shame that Mark Sheppherd and Jensen weren’t nominated for Crowley and Dean too.

It the writers keep Mark a central part of Supernatural in season 11, maybe Crowley will be nominated for an award next year.

Who’s your favorite bromance on Supernatural, Crowley and Dean or Castiel and Dean?

Teen Choice Awards: Nina Dobrev Gives Last Acceptance Speech for Elena

Nina Dobrev gave her final acceptance speech for the role of Elena Gilbert on Sunday night at the Teen Choice Awards.

The actress who played four roles on The CW hit show won the Choice TV Actress award for the fifth time. She gave a bittersweet speech about change and how all of the roles on TVD have changed her life.

She thanked Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson for all of her roles, though she can’t keep track of how many characters she played anymore. She told her fans she loves them and thanked them.

“Thank you for coming along with me on this amazing journey,” Nina said.

The TVD actress is excited for the future, to grow and to learn.

This was just another reminder that we have lost Elena. How can she be leaving when she’s still winning awards for this great role?

Ian Somerhalder and Nina also won for Choice TV Liplock. The two have won numerous awards, not just at the Teen Choice Awards, for Elena and Damon’s epic love. Can Caroline and Stefan replace this great couple? I love Steroline, but that doesn’t mean I won’t miss Delena.

Candice Accola and Paul Wesley were also nominated for the Choice TV Liplock award. Fans love this new couple, could we be seeing them winning surf boards next year?

The Vampire Diaries also won Choice TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy for the fifth time.

Will the supernatural drama continue to win these awards now that Nina has left? Candice was also nominated for the Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi award, can she take it home next year?

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Dominate Teen Choice Awards

Pretty Little Liars won big again at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night. The ABC Family drama came home with six awards.

Lucy Hale (Aria Montgomery) won for Choice TV Actress in a drama and her on screen on-again, off-again romance, Ian Harding (Ezra Fitz) won for Choice TV Actor in a drama.

My favorite liars are Aria and Spencer, so I was thrilled that Lucy won a Teen Choice award. I’ve really enjoyed watching Aria dealing with the aftermath of the Dollhouse. Each actress has had such great content to work with this season. The writers just keep making the show better and better.

Lucy and Ian have consistently been big winners at the event. This is the fourth time the man who protrays Ezra has won the Choice TV actor award. This is only the second time Lucy has won for Choice TV actress, but she’s won the Choice Summer TV Star three times and Ian has won that award twice.

Another on-again and off-again couple, Ashley Benson (Hanna Marin) and Tyler Blackburn (Caleb Rivers) also took home awards for Choice TV Summer Star in the female and male categories.

This was the first time Ashley and Tyler have been nominated and won Teen Choice Awards. Hanna has really grown over six seasons and the actress really deserved this win.

I was never a big fan of Hanna. She was my least favorite liar, but she’s really matured over the six seasons, but she’s always been a great part of the show and I love Caleb and Hanna together.

‘A’ was just revealed to be CeCe and for five and half years fans have been hanging on every message and ‘A’ took home the award for Choice TV Villain. ‘A’ beat out Chris Wood (Kai) on The Vampire Diaries, who has been called the best villain the show has ever had. Clearly not as infamous as ‘A’.

This is not the first time ‘A’ has won a Teen Choice Award. Janel Parrish won Choice TV Villain in 2012.

The show also won for Choice TV Show, Drama.

Shay Mitchell (Emily Fields) thanked fans: “We just want to thank you guys so much for being the best fans in the entire world and we would not be here if it wasn’t for you.”

PLL will only have one more year to win big. Can they dominate the award show again next year?

Check out all the great fashion from the Liars at the Teen Choice Awards:
