The Vampire Diaries Star Candice Accola Posts Cutest Baby Announcement

After losing Nina Dobrev on The Vampire Diaries, we actually have some good TVD cast news, Candice Accola is pregnant!

She had the cutest pregnancy announcement on Instagram. She posted a picture on Monday of her with her husband Joe King and her step children. They all wore white painted t-shirts. Candice had baby written on hers with a little baby bump. Joe had ‘SuperDad’ on his. Candice wrote: “Sometimes a Saturday is best spent painting t-shirts and taking an awesome family photo. Happy Monday everybody!”

Since Candice plays barbie vamp Caroline Forbes, we can assume there won’t be a pregnancy written into the show, but it won’t be the first time a baby bump was covered up. Kerry Washington was pregnant during filming Scandal and you couldn’t event tell.

Candice married The Fray’s Joe last year in a beautiful ceremony in New Orleans. She announced her change of status in a gorgeous photo on Instagram. The girl knows how to make big announcements.

I was obsessed with this photo when the TVD actress first posted it because her wedding looked like a fairy tale.

Congratulations to Candice and Joe and I’m looking forward to chronicling her maternity style.

I’m so happy for her growing family, but I hope that doesn’t mean she’ll be the next one to exit TVD. Kat Graham is already thinking about making this her last season.

I’m excited for more Caroline and Steroline scenes in season seven, so I don’t want to be losing her just yet.

What was your reaction to this super cute announcement?

‘The Vampire Diaries’: Season 7 May be Kat Graham’s Last

Nina Dobrev just left The Vampire Diaries and Kat Graham may soon follow her.

Kat (Bonnie Bennett) told Hunger TV that she’s excited to do a seventh season because she doesn’t feel like her character’s story is complete yet. She’s also happy that Bonnie is finally out of the other dimension.

Kat said that Bonnie’s relationship with Damon and other characters hasn’t been fully developed yet and she wanted to explore that more.

“I didn’t feel like the character’s story was done, I felt that there was more that they could do, but I won’t say I would do a season eight, it really depends on whether I’m fulfilled, and whether we’re like ‘Okay, this story’s been told, and we’re good to go,'” Kat told Hunger TV.

We’ll have to see what the writers give Kat to work with this season and see if she will want to continue.

TVD may not even go on for an eighth season. Season seven could be the last. I personally think it should be the last. The whole dynamic of the show will be different without Elena. Most of the storylines revolved around Elena.

Unless the writers can reinvent the show, it should probably start winding down.

I will say that Caroline has been my favorite female character on the show since the second season. So if the writers give Candice Accola a great storyline, I may root for TVD to continue. I’m a huge Steroline fan and I can’t wait to see these two finally get together.

I’m also excited for what’s to come for Bonnie. She was super powerful when she came back from the prison world and now she has to deal with the fact that while she’s alive, Elena sleeps. Kat will have a lot of great stuff to work with this season.

The dynamic on set will probably be different for the cast this season too, without Nina.

“For me that’s my f—ing girl, like she’s the most real girl, next to Claire Holt who was also on the show, that I also had a great connection with. It will be very weird for me to not have her there,” Kat told Hunger TV.

Even if Kat does leave the show after season seven, you won’t have to miss her. She has a new album coming out this year and her new single just dropped this month. Her new album is inspired by the 90s and her first single off the album was entitled 1991.

Do you think TVD should continue after season seven? Will you be sad if Kat leaves the show?

New Faces for ‘TVD’ and ‘The Originals’

the-vampire-diaries-season-6There will be a lot of new faces on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals when the two supernatural shows return in the fall.

There are two more heretics joining the female heretics, Valerie, Nora and Mary Louise.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Justice Leak (Powers) will play Malcolm, who doesn’t like to be told no. He’s the eldest of the heretics and is described as the golden child. EW said: “But when he’s alone, he has the sneering, aloof air of somebody who’s been alive a very long time—with no fear of death.” Justice will make his debut on TVD in the season seven premiere.

Jaiden Kaine (Zoo) will play what sounds to be a very interesting character, Beau. He’s described as a “scary, solemn and dangerous man,” according to EW. His vocal cords were slashed and he can’t speak, but makes up for it by being very powerful. He’s also very loyal to his heretic family. Jaiden will also make his debut in the season premiere.

TVD is getting more new characters besides the heretics. Tim Kang (The Mentalist) will play Oscar, who has a surprising connection to the Salvatores, EW reported. He’s been living a Zen lifestyle off the grid for months. All of this ends when a “supernatural intervention turns him into a feral killer.”

Todd Lasance will join the cast to play Julian, a feared and legendary immoral. It sounds like Damon may have some competition next season. Julian has a “reputation for excelling in earthly pleasures.”

Depending on who you ask, he’s a creep or full of charisma. He’s always on the run leaving chaos behind him and attracts a lot of dangerous followers. He only fears being forgotten, which is unlikely.

Todd and Tim will make their debuts in episode three.

The Originals is also adding three new faces for season three.

Lawrence Kao (The Walking Dead) will play a handsome and stubborn witch, Van. He’s always stayed out of the coven’s politics, but after tragedy strikes he finds himself sucked into the war. Lawrence will first appear in episode two.

Oliver Ackland (Satisfaction) will play a vampire who has a complicated history with the Originals. Tristan was born into wealth and power, which has inflated his ego. EW said: “With those he loves, he can be equal parts warm and caring, obsessive and co-dependent. But with his enemies, he is cruel and completely merciless.”

Oliver will also appear in episode two.

The Originals is also getting another female character: “a beautiful and enigmatic vampire.” Rebecca Breeds (Pretty Little Liars) will play Aurora. She likes to draw men to her, but she can also kill those same men without even thinking about it. Rebecca will make her debut in the season premiere.

Which new character are you most looking forward to meeting?

TVD  and The Originals return back to back on Thursday, October 8, 8/7c  on the CW.

‘TVD’ Alum Steven R. McQeen Joins the Cast of ‘Chicago Fire’

Jeremy the graduate!

Jeremy graduated from vampires and now he’s on to fires.

I have yet another reason to get hooked on Chicago Fire. Steven R. McQueen has given up hunting vampires for fighting fires.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Steven has signed on to Chicago Fire in a recurring role as new candidate Jimmy Borelli.

EW reported that Jimmy will have a really bad first day. He does something that doesn’t sit well with Chief Boden, which means it doesn’t sit well with anyone.

It will be really strange in Mystic Falls next season in The Vampire Diaries with no Gilberts. At least Steven, who played Jeremy Gilbert, has found a new home pretty quickly.

Since Chicago Fire is going into its fourth season, I have a lot of catching up to do. I’ve seen the pilot and all of the crossover episodes with Chicago PD, but I’ve never managed to sit down and watch the whole series yet.

We watched Steven grow up on TVD and it will be strange seeing him in a new role, but I’m excited to see him grow as an actor. First I’ll have to binge watch Chicago Fire before the fall.

Who else will be tuning into Chicago Fire just for Steven? Will you be missing him on TVD next season?

Chicago Fire returns Tuesday, October 13 at 10/9c on NBC.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Casts the Three Female Heretics

il-logo-della-serie-the-vampire-diaries-186328We may have lost Elena last season, but we’re getting three more ladies this season on The Vampire Diaries and they’re all villains!

When we left off in season six, Lily was being reunited with her family, the heretics. We are going to get to personally meet these vampire-witches in the season seven premiere.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker), Scarlett Byrne (Falling Skies, Harry Potter) and Teressa Liane (Neighbours) have signed on for recurring roles on TVD.

Elizabeth has been cast as Valerie. Variety said she’s having trouble adjusting to life in Mystic Falls and doesn’t follow Lily’s plan. She’s very revenge driven and starts “a dangerous chain of events that will change Mystic Falls.”

Scarlett will play Nora, who’s a cute tomboy with “a sly sense of humor,” Entertainment Weekly said. Nora is not interested in coexisting with the residents of Mystic Falls. She’s more interested in wreaking havoc on the city.

Nora will team up with girlfriend Mary Louise, played by Teressa. She’s girly and feisty, but she also “has a strong point of view which she isn’t afraid to express, with equally strong magic,” EW reported.

During the San Diego Comic-Con executive producer Julie Plec described the new villains as “nasty, nasty, nasty girls.”

“The challenge for the writers for season seven is constantly topping the villain from the previous year and we thought Kai was one of the best villains we ever had on the show,” executive producer Caroline Dries said at Comic-Con.

“So by bringing in Lily’s family it’s these six villains who do magic and their vampires. It’s the first time we ever see our characters try to go up against them and just kind of react and be like ‘oh we don’t know what we’re doing, This is very, very, very hard.’ So It’s going to be really exciting, gruesome and violent when we start,” Caroline added.

Get ready to meet these three scary ladies when TVD returns Thursday, October 8, 8/7c on the CW.

‘TVD’ Comic-Con: All About the Relationships

all-spell-breaks-loose-e1421017216792While Elena is in a deep sleep, there’s still a lot to look forward to in season seven of The Vampire Diaries.

We may have lost Delena, but Steroline is just starting to heat up.

So what can we look forward to for Steroline? “A lot of very unexpected twists and turns,” executive producer Julie Plec said.

“The fun of this couple is they’re just coming together. They’re just getting really cemented in the romantic status. As we left it off, sort of said, ‘I will be here when you’re ready.’ So she’s trying really, really hard not be ready, but…”

Then Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) interrupted Julie and said: “She can’t resist.”

While we did get some great information about season seven, the cast was having a lot of fun at the San Diego Comic-Con panel on Sunday.

Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes) asked the audience if they wanted to see more shirtless scenes of Stefan. The crowd roared with approval and Candice said, “that was a formal request,” while looking at Julie.

Paul wasn’t too pleased. He replied: “That was season one when I was a youngster. Times have changed.”

Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) and Paul were also having a little debate over their couple’s shipping names. Ian wants the Steroline name to change.

“Delena, likes that’s any better,” Paul replied.

“At least it doesn’t sound like it’s in a hospital,” Ian said.

“Delena sounds like it could potentially be a disease. Steroline sounds like the cure for the disease,” Paul said.

Did you ever wonder what it’s like to film these Steroline scenes?

“I just love making Candice feel awkward on set. Candice is married. I’m friends with her husband. I love when we have to do make out scenes because it’s so uncomfortable and it’s so funny. But we love each other,” Paul said.

“Don’t we love each other?” Paul turned and asked Candice.

“Oh yeah, just so much,” Candice said laughing.

Candice had her own behind the scenes awkward story to tell: “If you want to ever try something really disturbing, put a lot of fake blood in your mouth and have to make out with someone. I’m glad it worked out on television, but that was definitely an awkward day at work.”

Candice did get serious to talk about her character. She confessed she loves a good slow burning relationship on TV that you can watch the relationship build. She’s very excited for Steroline in season seven and excited for the fans too. She won’t say anything more though because she’s afraid she’ll get in trouble for spoilers.

Paul was able to get serious for a second to talk about Steroline. He really likes their history. It obviously started out as a platonic relationship, but there were moments when you thought there could be something more going on there.

“Those moments when you sort of zoom in on the eyes–something going on. It could happen between anyone,” and with that said Paul went goofy again.

“I feel like Ian and I have had those moments,” Paul said.

The crowd screamed.

“Yeah, right that’s what I’m taking about,” Paul responded to the crowd.

“I am my brother’s keeper,” Ian replied.

“Why go across the street when you can go across the hall?” Paul said.

“I taught him that one by the way,” Ian said.

The crowd was laughing with Paul and Ian’s exchanges.

Ian and Paul were definitely having a good time during the panel, but lets talk about our beloved Delena for a minute.

“What’s nice about it is there’s still a really intense core romance almost like in a fairy tale way attached to it. Damon has put the love of his life away and now he’s gotta figure out…” Julie said.

“She’s just taking a little nap,” Ian interrupts.

Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett) really likes how the writers ended Elena’s storyline. She likes that it keeps the door open for Nina Dobrev to come back, “but it also created an interesting dynamic going into season seven for Bonnie and Damon to have them deal with the fact that Bonnie’s alive and Elena’s not.”

For the fans that were totally in love with Bamon at the beginning of season six, they will be happy to hear that Ian’s favorite stuff that TVD has done was Bonnie and Damon trapped in 1994.

He asked the crowd if they agreed and they applauded quite a bit.

“It’s funny because they hate each other, they love each other, they resent each other, but they’re stuck together. It’s sort of an amazing recipe for a lot of cool drama,” Ian said, with a lot of emphasis on ‘drama’.

Kat’s favorite episode of season six was the one that Ian was directing. She’d never filmed a scene before where the director was the actor too.

“You’re directing again in season seven, right?” Kat asked Ian.

“Yeah, well hopefully,” Ian replied and turned to look at Julie.

The EP was put on the spot and just shrugged her shoulders.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Ian answered for her.

So how will Damon be without Elena?

Julie said that Damon will be trying to figure out who is without Elena and how he can make the right decisions without her by his side.

“You’ll get to see a lot of naughty Damon,” Julie said.

“It’s the old f—ing Damon. The Damon that we really fell in love with,” Ian said and the crowd cheered.

“And that’s the goal. Lets bring back that energy, that sexy, volatile, fun, scary, dangerous. All that s–t that made you guys love him to begin with. We’re bringing it back,” Ian added and the crowd roared.

Executive producer Caroline Dries said it’s fun for writers to dig deeper into a character and see what makes them tick. She told fans that they will get to see a lot of bromance between Stefan and Damon next season. It will be a new dynamic with their mother living in Mystic Falls.

Michael Malarkey (Enzo) sat their quietly during the panel just waiting for his turn and when it was finally his turn, his answer was great. He was asked what excited him about his character helping move the Lily story forward in the last season.

“More screen time,” was his reply.

Michael told fans that Enzo will have to choose sides in season seven and he will really struggle with it.

Also when the relationship of Lily and Enzo was brought up, Ian asked, “Are you going to bone our mother? Lets just get it out on the table.”

Michael got in on the joking and replied: “She’d be Enzo’s first.”

Clearly not feeling confident in his joke, he followed it up with stating it was a joke.

Caroline confessed that each season they try to out do the villain from the last. They feel like Kai was their best villain ever and the crowd seemed to agree with her as they cheered for the late Kai.

The characters will go up against the heretics next season, but they have no idea how to defeat this new enemy.

“It’s going to be really exciting, gruesome and violent when we start, but really the mystery will be how did Mystic Falls gets to be the way we saw it at the end of season six,” Caroline said.

Get ready for the dark season seven of TVD premiering Thursday, October 8, 8/7c on the CW.

Candice Accola had something special to say about Caroline turning her emotions off:

It was really fun. It was such a tragic storyline and I kind of knew and was clued in that Sheriff Forbes was going to pass this season and how it was going to happen. I thought it was such a human obstacle that these characters hadn’t really faced and there was no supernatural spell that could break the fact that she had cancer and I thought that was really powerful. So from all that grief and all the sadness to just go from you know, heartless bad ass Caroline was really, really fun and a really cool change for the character.

A Goodbye Letter to Elena Gilbert

l_1349697757We will be saying goodbye to Elena Gilbert on Thursday night and goodbye to Delena. I still can’t believe Nina Dobrev will no longer be on ‘The Vampier Diaries’. Elena, Damon and Stefan have been the three main characters of the show since the beginning, but now the show will rely on Damon, Stefan and the other characters to survive.

Elena has had quite a journey since season one. She’s had two epic loves, died twice, became a vampire, turned off her emotions, erased her memories of Damon and became a human again. She’s come full circle and now we have to say goodbye. So in honor of Nina’s last episode, I’ve written a letter to Elena to say goodbye,

Elena,

A lot of characters go through many boyfriends, but hardly any get to have two epic loves. In the first season I loved watching you and Stefan come together. I enjoyed watching you fall for a vampire. What I really loved about you at the beginning was how you could still care for Stefan and Caroline, despite they were vampires. It took Bonnie a long time to accept it. You had all these supernatural friends, but you would still do anything for them.

Since season two I’ve been rooting for Delena. Damon is selfish, but he would do anything to protect you. Most of my favorite Elena moments involved Damon. One of my favorite episodes was your 18th birthday and then it turns out that’s when you fell in love with Damon.

I actually really enjoyed when you turned off your emotions. It was heartbreaking to watch you burn your house and accept that Jeremy was gone. But it was so much fun when you were bad.

There’s going to be a big hole in ‘TVD’ when you leave. You are the heart of the show. You care so deeply about others. You bring your friends together and you fight for them. I don’t know how ‘TVD’ can go on without you.

I’ve always wanted you to end up with Damon and now he’s ready to become human for you. It’s a dream come true and what would have been a great ending, if the show was ending. But now you’re leaving Damon alone and I don’t know if he can survive this.

I’m not ready to say goodbye to you just yet. It’s been a great six years and it won’t be the same without you.

Love,

Mandy

If you could say goodbye to Elena what would you say?

Dream ‘TVD’/’The Originals’ Crossover: Bonnie vs. Dahlia

Bonnie's time in the prison world has changed her. Who is Bonnie now?

Bonnie’s emotions make her a very powerful, dangerous and scary witch at the moment.

After watching Dahlia on ‘The Originals’, I thought, wouldn’t it be cool if Bonnie took on Dahlia? That would be a killer crossover. I don’t think this is likely, but lets imagine for a moment what it would be like.

Dahlia proved herself to be very powerful. She was doing spells we’ve never seen before. She also beat down Klaus and Mikael more than anyone else has.

Dahlia is proving to be very powerful.

Dahlia is just as scary as Freya described.

I’m not sure how the Mikaelsons, Hayley,

Jackson and Marcel are going to defeat this

witch. Could they need the help of another

powerful witch?

After Bonnie escaped from the prison world with Qetsiyah’s magic, she’s been very powerful. She’s having a little trouble controlling her magic with her emotions out of whack. Of course anyone who spent all that time alone trapped in the past, would be at least a little emotionally scarred. To take on Dahlia, she would have to get control of her powers first. Or maybe she should use that anger against Dahlia. That anger seems to inflame her magic.

There’s no telling who could win in a battle between Bonnie and Dahlia. The one problem with this scenario is that she would never want to help Klaus. If she had to defend Elena or Caroline against Dahlia, she could use that rage to fight the old witch. She’s always best when she fights for her loved ones. She brought Jeremy back to life twice, granted the second time cost her her life, but she did the impossible.

There’s nothing in New Orleans that would make Bonnie take a trip to the Quarter, so this is just a nice fantasy for ‘TVD’ and ‘Originals’ fans. But wouldn’t this be an amazing crossover?!

It’s more likely that Stefan or Caroline could take a trip to New Orleans. It would be kind of cool to see Ripper Stefan and Caroline partner up with Klaus. Would Klaus even like Caroline without her humanity? Enzo prefers the real Caroline.

What other ‘TVD’/’Originals’ crossovers would you like to see?

Michael Trevino Leaving ‘The Vampire Diaries’ This Season

creative_endeavors1 | photobucket.com

creative_endeavors1 | photobucket.com

Nina Dobrev isn’t the only one leaving ‘The Vampire Diaries’ this season, Michael Trevino is also exiting.

Michael, 30, recently was cast on the ABC pilot, ‘Kingmakers’. ‘TVD’ Executive Producer Julie Plec confirmed on Monday that he was leaving, but it sounds like Tyler could appear again before the end of the series.

In a statement, Julie said Michael was “going to be out in the world exploring new opportunities. We look forward to finding creative ways to make sure he and his character … always remain a part of the show,” Variety reported.

If he leaves Mystic Falls like Jeremy did, then maybe he could appear in an episode later down the line, but if Caroline and Stefan end up killing him in the next episode, that will be less likely. It’s sad when actors leave a show, but it’s a little bit better when they could reappear at anytime. Even if that’s just for the series finale.

Tyler was the spoiled jock, a werewolf, then a hybrid and then he died and came back to life as a human again. He’s earned a second chance at a normal life and it’s been interesting to see him try to control his temper to stop himself from turning into a wolf again. His character has come full circle and part of me hopes he just leaves Mystic Falls. He’ll be safer away from the supernatural town.

It’s sad to admit that Tyler’s story has come to an end, but what more can the writers really do with him? I think Michael is right to search for other opportunities. He’s done great work on ‘TVD’, with transitioning into a wolf, breaking the sire bond and winning and losing Caroline. He was a great character.

Michael “has been a beloved member of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ family since day one,” Julie also said in her statement.

Steven R. McQueen also left the show in February. At this rate, who will be left? I don’t think we can take any more cast members leaving. The rest of the cast better stay put till the end of the series.

We know that Elena will be in the rest of the season, but when will Tyler be leaving? Will Caroline and Stefan be killing him when ‘TVD’ returns? Or will he be sticking around for the remainder of the season?

‘TVD’ will return Thursday, April 16 at 8/7c. Take a look at the promo. Caroline flips a coin to decide if she will kill Tyler or Matt. Seeing as Julie previously stated that she would never kill Matt, if someone dies, it will be Tyler. Heads or tails Caroline?
