Nashville Season 3 Episode 8

Rayna wins all 6 awards she was nominated for.

Rayna wins all 6 awards she was nominated for.

Rayna stole the show and Luke was not okay with it. Publicly he did a pretty good job of hiding it, only the people closest to them knew there was something up.

I think Rayna deserved every one of those awards. I also liked that it stirred things up between Rayna and Luke. I liked the two of them when they were dating, but all of this is moving too fast and it’s clear that Luke can’t handle Rayna’s success. He’s a man that needs the woman behind the man, not the power couple.

I’m really proud of Zoe for walking away. While some might see her as being weak, I see as being strong. No one says you have to take care of your boyfriend’s son, especially when you have dreams of your own. She moved to Nashville to make something of herself, not be a housewife.

There may be hope for Juliette and Avery. Meeting Avery’s parents didn’t go so well, but Avery stood up for both of them. His dad made me so mad. He acted like losing the award meant he was a loser. He was nominated for an award, that’s a win in itself. It may not be a top honor, but he was singled out with Juliette and other country artists. It’s an honor just to be nominated. After everything that happened with his parents, I think Avery is starting to forgive Juliette. They have a long road ahead of them, but it’s a start.

I’ve never been a big fan of Layla, but I certainly never thought of her the way the public does. I thought she was stupid to get married so young, but we all make mistakes in love. But the way she’s fighting her image is just hurting her image more. I think the answer would be for Will to come out of the closet, but he’s not ready for that.

Has the Rolling Stone cover come out yet? I’m assuming not, it would be big news if it had. Deacon will certainly have a reaction to it.

Nashville is taking a little break for Thanksgiving and will return on December 3 to get everyone ready for the holidays. And it looks like Deacon is still not giving up. Check out the preview:
