Season one of ‘The Originals’ was really good, but season two is even better. Bringing back Michael and Ester was a very good idea, even if I was unsure about it in the beginning. It was just that we’ve seen both parents try to kill their children before, but this time it’s different. Ester wants to give her children new bodies and Klaus actually has friends on his side. Cami risked her life trying to save Klaus, even though she has no power to help him. The other people of the cavalry have their own reasons for stepping in, but Klaus has a true friend in Cami.
Ester did a lot more than just turning Elijah into a vampire, she created the person he became. He’s still nobel on his own, but he shields himself from the times he has been a monster. This is very interesting because I’ve always felt like Elijah was a lot different from his other siblings. Each sibling is different, but he doesn’t seem to be as vicious as the others. Could that have something to do with Ester? He may have killed his first love, but I don’t think he’s been that big of a monster since. But we will have to wait and see where the writers will take us on this journey of Elijah’s memory.
Hayley is very worried about Elijah, which is a good sign to fans that want these two to be together. It was a nasty little trick watching Elijah and Hayley passionately kiss when she’s saving him. A little deja vu from when Rebekah made Damon think Elena was coming to save him. Also a testament to just how evil Ester is. I didn’t think his rescue could be that quick and I’m glad the writers are going to draw out his torture more. When Hayley comes to save him, I want it to be good, like the saving of Klaus.
Check out the preview for next week. Hayley stopping at nothing to save Elijah:
