After 200 episodes Grey’s Anatomy is still going strong. In a lot of ways this was a more light hearted, fun episode. Some of the doctors were really trying to get donors to give money at the party while others didn’t want to be there at all.
Cristina was having so much fun flirting and getting a rich man drunk and she got a lot of money out of him in the end. Meredith and Derek were already in a competitive streak and this just spurred it on even more. In the end it was Jackson that earned the most money. He took the donors to the hospital to see the doctors work. It was genius. You can tell people what you do, but until they see it for themselves, they will never understand how important it is.
I was quite proud of Joe getting in there and schmoozing with the donors. I don’t know if she was able to get any money out of them, but she was trying and a lot more than Alex was. Granted Alex had a reason not to be in the mood, but he didn’t tell Joe what was going on until the end. I had a feeling that the druggy might be his dad. He wouldn’t watch some random guy’s operation for nothing. Is he mad that is dad hasn’t changed or that he’s seen him again?
Cristina wanted her and Owen to date other people and now Owen is. Cristina has never claimed any of this was going to be easy, in fact she said she was hurting. It’s always hard when the other person starts dating first. Is it really over for these two? It looks like they might really be over.
I don’t think we’ve seen Arizona and April spend anytime together. Them together and drunk is quite funny.
I am definitely on Callie’s side, but telling all the donors that her wife died on the plane crash is just plain wrong.
Richard is finally fighting. I knew Bailey was going to put those two together. That man was rude and mean and he was still fighting when there was nothing left to fight for. While Richard had so many options to help him and he’d rather rot. What happened to the strong man that once ran the hospital?
Over all the 200th episode was really good, but Grey’s is known for pulling at your heartstrings. Should the 200th episode been more dramatic with tears and tragedy? Or was a nice fun episode reminiscing about stealing surgeries as an intern and panties on the pin board perfect? Either way I enjoyed this episode, but it certainly wasn’t a trademark episode.
Check out the preview for next week. Meredith and Cristina fight over a patient and somethings you just can’t take back:
